Young girls travel to Llanelli for Preparation Grades
Some of our female gymnasts travelled to Llanelli on 27th September to compete in the 5, 6 and 7 year old Preparation Grades competition. Even at this young age, it was a tough competition but the girls did us proud. The 5 year olds won a team silver medal with Daisy winning the 5th place ribbon for her vault and Chloe winning 6th place on floor. In the 6 year old category, Poppy took 6th place on bar and it was a double fifth place achievement for Megan, who competed in the 7 year old age group and was placed fifth for both bar and floor.
Well done girls, we hope you enjoyed the experience and you all looked fantastic. There are a few more photographs on our gallery page, so do take a look.
Medal arrives for Molly Cooke
The long wait for a bronze medal is finally over for our gymnast, Molly Cooke. She competed in a floor and vault competition in Deeside in May this year and was placed third in the 8 year old section. The results and photos of the girls taking part was posted in our news section on 19th May, however, Molly missed out and was not presented with her medal at the time. It looks great (at last) – well done Molly.

Gymeisteddfod 2015 – Showered with Talent
On 20th June, 24 of our gymnasts travelled to the National Sports Centre in Cardiff to take part in the Gymeisteddfod 2015. There were over 300 gymnasts performing from around Britain, on a great stage to a packed audience. The Maldwyn girls transformed into the “Weather Girls” for the event and their display combined some wonderful artistic gymnastics and cheerleading moves. The accompanying music was a mash up of ‘I’m singing in the Rain,’ ‘Umbrella’ and ‘It’s raining Men,’ and was beautifully choreographed from start to finish. What an exciting display girls and great team work, you should all be very proud!
More photographs from the event can be seen within the gallery and there’s a video of the performance on our facebook page.
