In March, 20 of our squad gymnasts competed in a fun 4 piece competition up at Deeside Gymnastics Academy, it was a fantastic weekend with super results and lots of medals and many happy faces! Well done to all who competed.
Preparation and Development Grades – February 2024
This year we had 9 gymnasts complete their Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Grades up in Deeside. They all worked so hard in the lead up to this competiton and all walked away with smiles on their faces after passing their grades with flying colours! We are so proud of you girls, you all deserved it!

North Wales Awards 2023
On Saturday 20th January, the Maldwyn Dragons team put their glad rags on to attend the annual North Wales Gymnastics Awards. We had a fantastic evening celebrating the achievements and hardwork of some of our members. Awards were presented based on nominations from the club. Congratulations to all our nominees!

Gymspire National Finals 2023
The last weekend in November saw some of our girls travel down to Newport in South Wales for the National Gymspire Finals. The girls qualified to represent the North area at the National finals against the rest of Wales.
We’re so proud of you all! You represented the club very well and worked together with gymnasts from other North Wales clubs to achieve some fantastic results. Well done girls!

Welsh National Grade 2
1st April 2023 – Sport Wales Cardiff
Francessa Humphreys performed her heart out on the 1st April at the National Sports Centre in Cardiff and passed her National Grade 2 with a commended. She had an excellent competition where she performed against the whole of Wales and came away with 2nd on Vault, 5th on Range and Conditioning and 8th overall.
We are so proud of how well Francessa performed on the big stage, she has worked so hard for this and her focus and dedication really did pay off!
